Stadium roof as media-screen

The main arena of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 will be the Moscow "Luzhniki" stadium where the official opening of the World Cup, one of the semi-finals and the final game will take place. To this end, a grand reconstruction of the arena is taking place.

"Luzhniki" capacity will increase to 81 thousand people, there will be separate areas for the media and spectators with limited mobility, also an open information system and wireless Internet will be installed.

However, the main feature of the reconstructed arena is the future media-screen of gigantic proportions. The roof of the building will be implanted with LED screens that will broadcast information about the events taking place on the field: replays of scoring chances, team lists and other information. According to the Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction under the Mayor of Moscow, Marat Khusnullin, the best view of the new LED roof will be from Sparrow Hills (Vorobyovy Gory) from a special platform connected to the "Luzhniki" by a ropeway.

The installation of LED screens is scheduled to begin later this year, and the reconstruction should be completed in 2016.

The possibilities of LED screens can be learned from XLED managers.
