On New Year's Eve 2016, the first LED media facade was installed on the facade of one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Tomsk "Megapolis" - a new format of LED screens intended for outdoor installation on buildings. To implement the project, xled specialists proposed a rack type LED cabinet from the Dicolor factory, one of the largest global manufacturers of LED screens, of which we are the official representatives in the Russian Federation.
LED media facades, in recent years, are becoming more widespread. And this is facilitated by several factors: firstly, thanks to technological progress, the gradual reduction in the cost of LEDs has made LED screens more affordable; secondly, the decrease in the purchasing power of the population stimulates the development of more active competition to attract buyers between shopping centers; thirdly, rental of commercials on LED screens is an additional source of income.
The complexity of the project implementation was the installation of a video screen on the glass facade of the building, which also has a convex shape. Our designers made a photo binding for the customer (you can see it on the right in the photo) to accurately determine the desired type and size of the screen. The architectural and design bureau developed a design solution, according to which, through the stained-glass window, load-bearing consoles were taken out, on which a metal frame was installed.
